New releases, new products and new services. Check out all the details below...

BGL Training Days a resounding success
BGL held technical and update seminars in Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney with almost 1,000 clients in August 2011. The new format of half day technical sessions and update seminars was a resounding success. The 6 CAS sessions covered New Features, improvements and tips, CAS Best Practice Tips, Integrating CAS with the web, Getting the most out of your CAS Data, ASIC Compliance and Technology Update and Your responsibilities as an ASIC agent. The 7 Simple Fund sessions covered Data automation, SMSF compliance update including the Top 10 SMSF Strategies for 2011, Integrating Simple Fund with the web, Getting the most out of your Simple Fund Data, Simple Fund new features, improvements and tips, Processing pensions funds and Getting an Actuarial Certificate with Simple Fund.

BGL also invited a number of our business partners: Act2 Solutions, Banklink, Macquarie, Praemium, OneVue, The SMSF Academy and The SMSF Review. BGL would like to thank our business partners for their support.

For clients who were unable to attend, BGL will be holding CAS and Simple Fund Update Webinars so look out for these in the next couple of weeks.

New data automation services
BGL has recently announced a number of new data services which will soon be available to clients:

BankLink web services
BankLink and BGL are working together to provide automated bank transaction web services for clients. This will mean bank account transaction data for all Australian banks can be automatically loaded in Simple Fund every day. BGL and BankLink expect this service to be available in Quarter 4, 2011. A similar free service is currently available for BGL clients with Macquarie CMA bank accounts.

Macquarie Prime Stockbroking
BGL will provide a fully automated daily data feed from Macquarie Prime Stockbroking. This service will be available to clients FREE of charge in quarter 4, 2011.

Contract Note Service
BGL will provide a fully automated service to collect, buy and sell transaction data for all Australian share brokers. This service will automatically upload and match buy and sell transactions with cash transactions, posting all amounts to the proper ledger accounts using BGL's SmartPost technology. PDF contract notes will also be attached to all buy / sell transactions in Simple Fund. BGL anticipates the cost per fund for this service will be between $15-20 per annum.

ATSA 2011
BGL will again sponsor the Accountants Technology Showcase Australia (ATSA) which will take place at the Hilton on the Park in Melbourne from 17-18 October 20011. Come along and find out about the latest in technology for your practice and register through BGL to receive a 15% discount. More..

Actuarial Certificate Service
The Simple Fund actuarial certificate service provides clients with a fully automated actuarial certificate solution for clients. Over 600 certificates have been prepared since May 2011.

Recently BGL has added a post pay (credit account) payment option to the service. This allows clients to purchase certificates throughout the month and then pay by Direct Debit or credit card for all certificates at the end of the month. To sign up for this payment service, contact the BGL Admin team.

Portal by BGL
Portal by BGL gives your clients access to CAS and Simple Fund data, documents and live reports over the web. Portal currently delivers data and documents for clients that cumulatively manage over 40,000 entities. Digital signing is now available on Portal. Digital signing means your clients will never have to print and sign a document again. This new feature has already provided many clients with huge efficiencies.

In the next Portal release (due Quarter 4, 2011), clients will be able to deliver and digitally sign any document for any client entity through Portal. Tax Returns, letters, invoices and documents can all be tracked, monitored, automatically followed up and digitally signed. This process will provide your business with incredible efficiencies and save you hundreds of hours of work each year. More..

How to Automate your SMSF Administration - FREE client webinars
Simple Fund supports the largest number of transaction data feeds available in the Australian SMSF software industry today. With transaction data feeds from over 80 data providers and the ability for clients to add their own CSV data feeds from any bank, broker or platform, automating your  SMSF processing has never been easier. BGL is holding FREE client webinars to help you gain the greatest benefit from these Simple Fund features. Webinars will cover the generic BGL process as well as how to specifically load data from Macquarie, Banklink and Xplan. More...

Logging a support call through the BGL Client Centre has never been easier....
BGL has recently updated the Log a  Support Call process in the BGL Client Centre. The newly designed process will make it much simpler and easier for you to log a support call with us. Check out the new page in the BGL Client Centre.
