Welcome to the June 2010 edition of BGL's Client Newsletter.
The last few months have certainly been full of many surprises. The release of the Henry Review, the Cooper Review of SMSF’s and the governments intention to ban commissions for financial planners, have all given our clients much to think about. And with an election looming and talk of new taxes and changes to the current system, the rest of 2010 is sure to be interesting.
At BGL we have been working hard to ensure we continue to deliver timely software updates. Both CAS and Simple Fund Versions 2010.0 have now been released to clients. These releases include the new user interface and a host of new features. If you have not yet updated your software, now is a good time to ensure you have all your systems up-to-date for 30 Jun 2010.
At the same time, our BGL Team has been working to add automated SMSF formations to Portal. This new feature will give clients the ability to form new SMSF’s through Portal with our fund deed or yours and push that information into Simple Fund. The same option is already available for company formations. There are currently around 10,000 client companies and funds on Portal with many clients gaining huge benefits from the automated document delivery and client access to fund and company data that Portal provides. If you would like more information on Portal, please contact our Sales and Marketing Team.
Over the next few months there will be more software updates and national series of update seminars in August for clients. BGL will also have some exciting announcements over the next few weeks of some new products and services that will give our accounting firm clients the ability to offer a new service to their clients that could generate substantial fees and income. All I can say at this time, is watch this space!!
